Geology of Patagonia
Patagonia is known for its great contribution to prehistoric history.
Fossils of dinosaurs and other remains of ancient time have been traced up. The rocks that were broken into tertiary beds contained mammal remains.
Other specimens of the interesting fauna include the gigantic wingless bird and the unique mammal Pylrotherium.
